BIOGRAPHY
Defect Designer is a Norwegian prog death metal band originally coming from the very heart of Siberia, city of Novosibirsk.
In 2007 Defect Designer in Novosibirsk recorded their first four-track promo named "W" (later released by Forces Of Satan records). Having sent the demo worldwide the band received plenty of positive feedback and decided to go to a European studio to record a full-length album.
In February 2008 Defect Designer entered Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland (which had previously recorded Vader, Decapitated, Behemoth, Sceptic) to record their first full-length album. "Wax" was recorded (including re-recording of the "W" promo), without any financial support from labels or investors. The band traveled 4000 km from their hometown to Poland and recorded, mastered and mixed 12 tracks with Wojtek and Slavek Wieslawski..
In 2009 Defect Designer got signed for a worldwide album distribution by an Italian label My Kingdom Music. Soon after Defect Designer received an offer from Norwegian label Forces Of Satan records to release their promo stuff "W" worldwide.
In 2012 frontman relocated to Oslo and reestablished the band. Defect Designer recorded 2-song demo with Stelios Mavromitis on guitar in Devasoundz Studio (Athens), drums, bass and vocals in Strand studio (Oslo). The lineup includes Trollfest and Blood Red Throne members.
In the end of 2013 DD records the second full-length album: Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy) on Drums, Stelios Mavromitis (SepticFlesh live guitarist) on guitars, vocals and bass by Dmitry Sukhinin - in Devasoundz Studios - done just before Christmas; Sampling/Orchestration to be done by Christos Antoniou, mixing by Fotis Benardo in 2014.
"Ageing Accelerator" album, was mastered at Fascination Street Studios, famous for works with Soilwork, Bloodbath, Kreator, At The Gates and Katatonia. The album was officialy released on 07.13.2015 via Sleaszy Rider Records.
SepticFlesh member Seth Siro Anton contributed to the band's artwork - creating the CD design for Ageing Accelerator and making the band's logo. Seth Siro Anton is known for creating artwork for such bands as Moonspell, Soilwork, and Sybreed.
Defect Designer is the first band ever to get endorsed by Guitar Pro.
