Irreversible Mechanism "Immersion" ["Immersion" - 2018]

Foto de IRREVERSIBLE MECHANISM.
The unsung masters of progressive death metal return!

Coming off the band's hyped debut, Irreversible Mechanism not only won the Best Guitar Performance award in their native Belarusian annual music awards, they were also hailed internationally as the next coming of Necrophagist, putting them firmly at the top of the list of tech death newcomers.

Irreversible Mechanism's sophomore album propels the band leagues forward, ascending effortlessly between intense progressive death metal and extraterrestrial ambiance.

The band's signature symphonic sound builds like a freight train through a sea of terror and reflection. 'Immersion' marks the arrival of unstoppable fury, entering with a masterful sense of space, clarity, melody, and emotion.

The additions of clean vocal highlights appear with tasteful application as a counterpoint, vast ambient soundscapes paint an alien world for the band to traverse and destroy, epic guitar leads soar over the writhing maelstrom of beauty and chaos, and electronic pulses creep up which offer a breath of calm.

Adding Dan Presland (Ne Obliviscaris) on drums for the album was the final touch.

The result is a contender for the best album in today's progressive death metal world.

On September 14th, we are releasing our second full-length album "IMMERSION" via Blood Music.

Tracklist:

1. Existence I: Contemplation
2. Existence II: Collision
3. Abolution
4. Simulacra
5. Footprints in the Sand
6. Beyond
7. Limbo
8. Immersion
9. Awakening
10. Seclusion [Bonus]

Irreversible Mechanism “Immersion” stands as a bold statement, challenging and eclipsing genre heavyweights Rivers of Nihil and Fallujah, and ushering in a new era of progressive and technical death metal. "

Andrew Parmón who comments on the track:

This is the title song of the album and in some way it's a reflection of the full record, of it's dynamic range and it's musicality. It's also a culmination of the storytelling too. About so necessary spark from the outside of the box, which gives us hope and makes us to find the inner tools to escape, the only way to survive, whatever it takes, even through death.

Released: August 24, 2018

"Immersion" release date: September 14th, 2018

On this record we also worked with Sami Raatikainen on mixing and mastering, our good friend since "Infinite Fields" and true professional, who really helped us to collect these musical pieces into one solid monolith. And also with great Dan Presland (Ne Obliviscaris), who recorded just so astonishing, so powerful drums.
It's really nice to have guys like this in your team.

Vlad Nekrash (guitarist) comments:
"Our new record 'Immersion' differs from the our debut album, by being full of experiments in composing. We are far from being the same as in the beginning. We wanted to discover new ways to ourselves and to show how we want to sound right now. Our new music allow us to go beyond the borders of simple and understandable things, it helps to evolve and not to stay the same. Every track of the new album is a new level for me personally and for the whole band."

Andrew Parmon (guitarist/vocalist):
“It’s a concept album, as our first record, but this time I think it's more deep and personal. We tried to cover the themes of the fundamental laws of the universe, isolation, time, reality, freedom. Being on different sides of the conflict (if we could say so). Story about the survival in the world without which you can’t exist, but rules of which you refuse to accept.
Talking about musical aspect I would say it's far more experimental. I don't know if it made it better or worse, but it was something we needed. And I'm so excited about it because whole band put so much effort in it, so much creativity and we're very proud of what we've done.”

Pavel Semin (bassist) comments:
"In new album we decided to move from orchestral sounding to explore other ways to create atmosphere. We add more guitar effects, layers, and synths. The album also more holistic, like a single piece divided into parts."

Ilya Studenok (vocalist) comments:
"As a person with a different music background, I’ve used a bit of my own, different approach when making this album. In a certain way this is actually what this record was missing before. When you make things more complex and a bit out of box leaving a certain stylistic foundation, you should get the accents accurate, intriguing and just right. Aside from the instrumental part, the vocals also been brought to a new level. The new record turned out to be sounding quite unexpectedly but of course more interesting."

Irreversible Mechanism line-up:
Vladislav Nekrash – guitar, production
Andrew Parmon – guitar/vocals
Pavel Semin – bass guitar
Ilya Studenok - vocals
Dan Presland - drum recording.

Mechina - Compendium (Box Set - 2018) - Bandcamp Stream

 Texto alt automático indisponível.
Mechina is an industrial groove metal sort of band. I say “sort of” because that doesn’t really begin to describe their sound. It is a mix of symphonic, science fiction, death metal, groove metal, electronic, and… just that nameless unique quality that many bands lack.

The band has defied the norm of metal and raised the standard for musical originality throughout the Midwest. With the mixture of precision inspired metal, symphonic melodies, creative and unorthodox lyrical content, and a plethora of intriguing yet intense atmospheres, Mechina has created a unique and unmatched presence in and around the Chicago area. Members reside out of Naperville, Geneva and Batavia, IL.

The band has two members: David Holch and Joe Tiberi. The wall of sound they create (mixing symphonic, electronic, and traditional instruments) is primarily created on the computer. For this reason, Mechina is not a touring band.

Even without the scifi-themed lyrics, Mechina's mixing of symphonies with electronic and heavy metal sounds has led some fans to refer to their style of music as "Mass Effect Metal", a reference to the series of video games.

Mechina are a band whose growth has been one of the most interesting to watch over the past few years. Few bands have been quite as ambitious as they have been with their music. Few have completely ignored whether or not they were going to be successful, and just went big anyway, but that is exactly what Mechina have done during their time as artists.

Starting out as a full band before eventually becoming the studio project of a couple of producers in the Chicago area, Mechina have already banged out a whole arc of albums — a conceptual trilogy told over three full discs and a smattering of singles — that have archived a whole universe constantly at war, ending with planets left barren and whole populations destroyed, played out over the soundtrack of an industrial/symphonic death band with a taste for eight-and-up-string poly-rhythmic guitar playing.

Over time, the band’s production has grown leaps and bounds, and as they’ve adopted characters into their story and adapted a new vocalist into the fold, they’ve created enough lore in their universe that someone actually took the time out of their day to try and establish a wiki site to keep track of all of it, one that I’ve already used liberally. While we haven’t quite hit Bal-Sagoth levels of craziness, I imagine Mechina could be reaching that point soon enough with their sci-fi, planet-destroying antics.

The band's music is very similar to the early Fear Factory, but what then is very different: it bombed in every respect, all forms of emotions creates and expands a new era of modern industrial metal. Yet it is inspirational rhythms, orchestral music and non-standard creative lyrical content, as well as many intriguing and intense passages in the parties. The atmosphere is obtained simply breathtaking!

For the last 5 years, one band has defied the norm of metal and continued the progression of musical originality throughout the Midwest. Music that bombards every sense, creates every form of emotion and reinforces the new age of modern metal. With the mixture of precision inspired rhythms, orchestral melodies, creative and unorthodox lyrical content, and a plethora of intriguing and intense atmospheres, Mechina has created a unique presence in the future of metal.

They have their own original and unique style of playing music in this genre, so it is recommended to listen to them all to a single industrial fans.

On January 1st, 2017 they released their seventh full-length album, As Embers Turn to Dust.  This album concludes the first half of a continuous story, started with our 2011 release of Conqueror.

The story told through Mechina's albums is titled "As Embers Turn to Dust". It is a century- and a planetary-spanning story of man-made gods and city-sized machines called Titans. Mechina releases the story as full-length albums with a "single" between each album. These singles fill in missing pieces of the story and bridge the gap between albums. Mechina has a habit of releasing full-length albums on January 1 of each year and a single sometime during the summer.

On May 25, 2018, Mechina released a compilation called "Compendium" as a box set that includes Conqueror, Empyrean, Xenon, Acheron, Progenitor and As Embers Turn to Dust, along with every single. Sonically, all albums have been scaled upwards, while retaining their original musical essence. Comes with authenticity signature and a number card.

Blurry Lights - (2012 - 2015) [ Full Discography] - Bandcamp Stream

Texto alt automático indisponível.
Blurry Lights is a romantic piano/post-rock project of B.M. (Skyforest, Hiki). Became active since Autumn 2012. Blurry Lights' music is filled with romantic emotions and warm atmosphere, mostly inspired by big cities, rainy nights and loneliness.

"I had the idea of making something in a neoclassical way a long time ago, and I recorded some piano songs in my main project Annorkoth (split album with Kurgal and split album with Negativity). But however, it was a metal project and the piano was never intended to be played there. Finally, I decided to start a slightly different branch of my music - a different theme, different sounds. After the first release of Timeless EP, I started to moving slowly into a post-rock way." - Commented B.M.

After three years of silence, he's back with one more album! 'Our New World' is carrying a positive message, so it's probably the "brightest" album in the whole BL discography. A good soundtrack for your warm evening as usual. This one has way more guitars than any of the previous albums, and I also used an actual bass guitar instead of bass synth.

Hitwood - MAREA (Full-Length Album - 2018) - Bandcamp Stream

After all the loss in his life, after all his difficulties and sacrifices, the old man Hitwood begins to live a parallel life in his dreams and share his visions with us “messengers”. With the album MAREA we have discovered some of the background story of this man that after his incident, fall in coma and begins to follow his path to nowhere in the hope to find the “big answers” of life. Hitwood attention, as represented in the artwork of MAREA, was attracted by the strange colors in the sky so he decide to proceed towards to see what lies behind the mountains in the background. When Hitwood reach that place finds out that there’s no more the sun, the colors has become really vibrant like if the entire galaxy was the only source of light and in the distance he could only hear the sound of tide.

As he proceed to this direction the sky went more dark at every step he take, a dark omen become more present and what Hitwood begins to glimpse scares him. His steps becomes more faster; when finally, the exhausted man reach the other side of the mountains he couldn’t believe to his eyes….

Clouds Announces New Album + New Song Released

Clouds, an international doom project, the band announced their third full-length album, Dor, recently. The new record follows the 2017 Destin EP and their latest single, "Do You See Me" from earlier this year. To celebrate the announcement of their new album, Clouds gave Funeral Doom Friday a brand new music video for the self-titled track from Dor.

Daniel Neagoe assembles, once again, a memorable line up of guest musicians with special attention to vocalist, with Ana Carolina (Mourning Sun), Gogo Melone (Aeonian Sorrow), Mihu Ilie from Abigail and Mikko Kotamäki from Finnish legends Swallow The Sun showing their undeniable talent on this recording.

The members of Clouds have a combined resumé that remains virtually unmatched in doom metal. Amongst the members of the atmospheric doom band are contributions and efforts in some of the genre's biggest and productive names over the last 25 years. Names like Pantheist, Shape of Despair, Barren Earth, and Eye of Solitude are just a handful of examples. However, their collective work in Clouds remains its own wonderfully unique entity.

The video features Pantheist mastermind, Kostas Panagioutou, as the video's main character. The video was directed by vocalist and drummer, Daniel Neagoe. In the video, Kostas appears stricken with grief and anguish as he tries to get rid of a photo of a woman. He attempts to burn and bury the photo; he tries to run, but the photo (or perhaps the memory of her in the form of a photo) continues to reappear. It ultimately becomes too much for the main character as he breaks down in the middle of the woods.

Check out the video and song below! Be sure to also pre-order "Dor" from Bandcamp.

 Released August 10, 2018

Fractal Gates - The Light That Shines (Full-Length Album - 2018) - Bandcamp Stream

Fractal Gates is a 5 man band featuring Sébastien Pierre (Enshine, Cold Insight, Ex-Inborn Suffering, Ex-Lethian Dreams) and Stéphane Peudupin (Ex-Inborn Suffering, Ex-Lethian Dreams, Ningizzia).

In 2005 Stéphane Peudupin and Sebastien Pierre both of French doom act Inborn Suffering decided to create a band that emphasised more on rock , Scandinavian metal, catchy tunes. “Mislead” was born. The band has been active 2 years and then disbanded because of various reasons in 2007.

in August 2007 Stéphane Peudupin and Sébastien Pierre decided to create a new band built on the ashes of “Mislead”. They decided to change the focus and style of the band and rename it according to their beliefs. After some line-up changes, Fractal Gates found a solid formation with Antoine Verdier on bass guitar, Arnaud Hoarau on the rhythmic guitar, Sebastien Pierre on the vocals and Stéphane Peudupin on lead guitars.

This marks the birth of Fractal Gates, Metal and Dark Rock with grooved catchy tunes and screams. The band emphasises mainly on extra terrestrial life forms, ancient civilisations, planets, esoterism, science fiction etc .. Energy could be what describes best Fractal Gates’s music.

The band released a 4 title demo CD end 2007 which received surprisingly good response over the world and that greatly motivated them to compose more songs. Fractal Gates has then been very much inspired during the composition process and in 4 months they had all the material ready for a full length CD.

In August 2008, the band entered the Hybreed studio and recorded and mixed the songs with Andrew Guillotin (7th Nemesis, Glorior Belli, Carnal Lust, Temple of Baal …). The result was very satisfying for the band, they then decided to master the works at Jacob Hansen’s studio (Volbeat, Pestilence, Deadlock …). The result is 49 mn of explosive energetic metal of the debut CD entitled “Altered State of Consciousness” (released in 2009 on rusty cage records and great dane records).

In august 2012 Fractal Gates entered studio to record their upcoming album "Beyond the Self". The album should be released end 2012 / start 2013 on a label that will be communicated soon ! The album was produced by the great Dan Swanö ! With some featurings with Sotiris (Septic Flesh) and Dan himself ! Expect over 50mn of pure entranscing energy ! Stay metal, stay Fractal ! We are the imagination of ourselves !

In 2013 was released  the 2nd album "Beyond The Self" out on Great Dane Records end february 2013. The album was reisuued after beiing sold out.

"The Light That Shines" is the 3rd opus of the band. "The Light That Shines" emphasises on catchy tunes, stellar sci-fi sounds and melodic death metal energy. As die hard fans of sci-fi, our lyrics focus on the future, our consciousness and self awareness, the unknown, the magnificance of the universe and the probable alien encounters we might be faced with.

The new Opus has 3 guests :
- Jari Lindholm from Enshine (solo on "The Light That Shines)
- Ben Ellis of Scar Symmetry (Solo on "Arise").

- Jérôme Boumendil (Solo on "Chasing the Line").

The album was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö of Unisound AB and features guest appearances such as Jari Lindholm (Enshine, Ex-Slumber, Ex-Atoma) and Ben Ellis (Scar Symmetry). Expect 44mn of dreamy catchy melodic death metal energy!

Meet "Tiranuz" A Promissing Rock Band From Angola

Foto de T I Я Δ N U Z.

Tiranuz was founded on March 12, 2016 in Viana, Luanda. The band was formed by Niro Catraio (vocalist), Breno Nascimento (bass) and Saddan Oliveria (ex-drummer). But there was a  period in which they were working temporarily with guitarist Frinck Sanda, because he had other aspirations that did not go according to the band goals and musicality, "explained Niro Catraio, adding that with the departure of Frinck Sanda , the band had to look for other instrumentalists for the continuity of the project.

The singer further emphasizes that the band had to hire new members. "Here are the guitarists Scott Malonga (ex-Pestes and Parasitas), Sílvio Rodrigues (ex-Kosmus) and Otniell Fernandes (ex-Necrotério Vazio). But for personal reasons, Otniell left the band to form a new project.

In the beginning, the band had another designation, but after a period, Saddan Oliveira left the band for personal and professional questions. "At the time, the band was called" S3NB "- which was the junction of the initials of the names of the founding members. And later, the current drummer of Tiranuz, Tuchometal Campos joins the Tiranuz, whose the band name was his proposal, "said Niro Catraio.

The leader of the group also made it known that the composition of the letters that he calls the band comes from an "African God". "The 'R' on the other hand is nothing special. But the "Pyramid" to do the "A" instead refers to the Pyramid of the "Eye of Horus", from the Egyptian mythology that is an African God. And as Africans they are, they want to show that Africa also has stories to tell and  also have a rich mythology".

The band's main priority is solidify the career, making concerts to achieve an bigger public acceptance through their performances level playing at concerts where they're invited wich come aroud the country and abroad. On March, 2018 their effort help them gain some recognition culminated  by a nomination in the cathegory of best rock band at the Angolan Music Awards (AMA).

"We have eight songs already finalized and ready to present to the public. All of them are sung in Portuguese, but they are thinking about creating some in Kimbundu and Umbundu, " - Commented the band.

Irreversible Mechanism - "Abolution" [Music Video - "Immersion" - 2018]

Aside from the instrumental part, the vocals also been brought to a new level. The new record turned out to be sounding quite unexpectedly but of course more interesting."

GOD - GOD III - Holy Spirit (Full-Length Album) - Bandcamp Stream

Shrouded in mystery, we’re not sure who is behind the scenes of GOD.  All that we know is that GOD is a multi-layered progressive metal juggernaut waiting to be discovered by the metal community at large. Utilizing 4, 5, and 8 string bass guitars, 6-string and baritone guitars, and complex musical structures, the band creates a unique sound that differs greatly with each track.

GOD returns this August 7, 2018 with GOD III - Holy Spirit after two great albums.

GOD challenges listeners to consider their life & death through the power of music and through the concept of “Inception”. Each track utilizes the concept of “Inception” by releasing with a coinciding video to ask listeners & viewers questions regarding the song title rather than force ideas, opinions or beliefs onto them.

GOD represents something greater than the one who was lead to channel this concept, this sound and this message to listeners all over the world. Due to the title, topics and reverence to the subject matter the writer- producer of GOD sincerely wishes to remain anonymous.

“The reason for remaining anonymous is to be humble and realize whose name this project is named after. In reverence and respect to who and what GOD is to me. As an individual who felt, lead to create this it has been a spiritual battle to humble myself and realize that the music is not really mine at all. It was there before I existed.” - Commented the band.

Skyforest - Harmony (EP - 2018) - Bandcamp Stream

Foto de Skyforest.

Skyforest is a Russian Atmospheric Black/ Post-Black Metal band founded by B.M. (ex-Autumn's Kingdom, A Light in the Dark, Blurry Lights, Goatech, Hiki, Traceline, ex-Annorkoth) in Podolk, an industrial city in the Moscow oblast . First writings and recordings were made in the beginning of 2013, but the first release surfaced only in the mid-2014, when session members were found for a proper recording. The album Aftermath, featuring great names of the genre as session musicians, and it was released on August 29, 2014.

Second album of Skyforest. It was written entirely during autumn-winter 2015. It is sharing a bit more positive and hopeful vibe than Aftermath. Lyrically, the album is about unity with nature and unity with yourself.

"On August 2nd the band released their new EP called "Harmony". This EP is entirely acoustic but I'm not abandoning metal! It's just a transition from Unity to the next album which will come eventually (I hope for 2020). This EP will also flow perfectly combined with Unity album, so you can try shuffle them :)

Once again, thanks to Michael Rumple for his nicely done clean vocals (he's now a part of Skyforest officially) and Arina Fox for her beautiful and atmospheric singing in the title song (she also did vocals in my other dream pop project Hiki, on latest album).
Also thanks to СЕРГЕЙ ШЕНДЕРОВСКИЙ for his incredible artwork! Once again he was able to draw exactly what I was imagining.

I've been dreaming about the acoustic EP in this project long before even Unity was born, so that's another dream fulfilled." - Commented B.M

The music continues to expand the ideas left in B.M.'s previous project, Annorkoth, and basically it's a continuation of it under the new name. It's not just a simple name change but a separate project.

Harmony is totally acoustic and brings glaring similarities to Blurry Lights, another great B.M project that blends neo classical music with cinematic symphonies.
