BIOGRAPHY
Blaze of a Perdition are a black metal band from Lublin, Poland, formerly known as Perdition. To date they have released three full-length albums. Their most recent album is Near Death Revelations, released on June 26, 2015 through Agonia Records. The band was founded by XCIII (also known as Aiwass) and was a follow-up of schism within Perdition, which was spawned by Aiwass and Xaos Oblivion. The three-song opus which was released as a split with Pseudogod (ru) was supposed to be the next Perdition’s child, but different visions of the horde’s founders made a kind of breakthrough. Thus Xaos Oblivion left and Ashgan (Septic Seraph) and Sonneillon (aka D. of Ulcer) joined the Order. The idea of using two vocalists turned out to be a success thus in the darkness the new blaze was born – Blaze of Perdition.
Blaze Of Perdition have managed to built up an excellent reputation with their two previous albums, Towards the Blaze of Perdition (2010) and The Hierophant (2011), which solidified the oufit’s position as one the most interesting acts in the field of black metal. While the gorup does not reinvent the wheel, it truly makes use of its creative capacities, focusing on inteligent arrangements and developing a dark, yet enigmatic unity.
On November 2nd, 2013, around 6:30 AM, the band had an accident on their road to Austria in which 23 died including the band bassist Wojciech "Ikaroz" Janus and Sonneillon and Wizun were heavily injured, with the former temporarily in a coma.
Uncertain whether to carry on, Blaze of Perdition invoked the power of the Elder Gods---both benign and malign---and asked them one question: should Blaze of Perdition continue to sing the praises of "Luciferian Illumination"? The weak-minded would've come away from the confrontation confused and bereft. Not Blaze of Perdition. They respectfully mourned the loss of Janus and vowed, with ensorcelled swords and overflowing blood chalices held high, to return to the lands of the blackest metal, spiritually and physically rejuvenated.
On March 2015 Agonia Records announces the signing of the rising Polish black metal force, Blaze Of Perdition. Both parties are excited in this new venture and are pleased to announce that the band’s third full-length album titled Near Death Revelations. The album, whose cover artwork created by Mentalporn.
Near Death Revelations, the band’s third studio album, sees men who witnessed the death of a friend and faced their own put this harrowing experience to music. Near Death Revelations, was released June 26th on Agonia Records.
Near Death Revelations is the group's first full-length since the hellish The Hierophant in 2011. They've come back harder, faster, and deadlier.
Blaze of Perdition is a band which brings strong, necessary values in Black Metal and is capable to deliver fresh yet traditional sound. All this makes them one of those most promising bands in the current world Black Metal scene. Although their history is short, they have already gained recognition home and abroad.
