BIOGRAPHY
WARG is created after the split up of Adamantivm, where Javier Gregorio (vocals), Luis Carlos Gallego (guitars) and Daniel Villuendas (bass) decided to continue with their musical activity. They wanted to expand Adamantivm’s Atajo a la Locura (2011) thrash metal sound opening up to more influences. Soon they’re joined by professional drummer Rubén Isla and experienced guitar player Óscar Díaz.
On March in 2014 they entered Theocide Studios to record their first LP, Back From The Shadows, that was released on September 2014.
For those seeking something fresh beyond what they already like ... Epic Thrash Metal style defines well reflected in "Back From the Shadows", their first album. A search of style thrash metal itself where the lifetime is mixed with the classic epic metal and aggression and melody of Nordic extreme metal.
On November 2014 Dani left the band and was replaced by Santi Gallego (also bass player in Occitania).
Their new album "In The Dusk Of Men" follows the path initiated in 2014 with Back From The Shadows, consolidating their style, mixing naturally the aggressiveness of old-school thrash, the epic and melody of Nordic metal and the tightness of heavy metal. In The Dusk Of Men wasc released independently on April 19th, 2016.
The album was recorded in Estudios Teocida, is produced by Lucas Toledo and has a collaboration with Occitania singer, Nekane, in “Light Under The Shadows”.
“Time Will Hide” is based on one of the theories that explains the crimes committed in Whitechapel, London, at the end of the 19th century... if you need a name call him Jack.
The album is a musical adventure that leads us from the classic thrash approach with catchy choruses of "Wargs on the Horizon" and "Tiergartenstrasse 4" to the epic pseudo-balladry of "Light under the Shadows". From the effective simplicity of title track "In the Dusk of Men" to the highly arranged anthemic religious critic "Ancient Times". From the blackened heaviness of "Fate of Kings" to the Viking freedom call "Ghost of Tomorrow". And from the roller coaster opening track "I Am Death" to the melodic darkness of first single "Time Will Hide"
Their style is a mix of Old school thrash metal, epic heavy metal and nordic melodic and aggressive metal. Thus they try to find their own style blending traditional thrash (Metallica, Megadeth, Kreator or Testament) with classic heavy metal (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian) and aggressiveness, melody and epic from the extreme nordic metal (In Flames, Amon Amarth, Immortal). That’s WARG.
