CroworD - Manifest of Mortal Sickness (EP - 2016) - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
Lukas (Ex-Zodiac/Blasphemist and So I Sin) in order to revise his style in melodic and rythmic regard, proclaimed together with "Heavy Hitter" Gabriel a gathering of "Aichfeld" Metal-Pioneers. Michael and Martin as well as Florian joined for a perfect setting for this quest, from their perspective. A home-finding for all of them in different and multiple ways upside from their cummon place of birth or a reversion to their musical roots, they shared in childhood!

After an interval of about three years they appeared on Friday, April 15, 2016 officially on the scene, presented the following day her first Lyric Music Video. On April 20, 2016 the band  released their first demo / EP entitled "Manifesto of Mortal Sickness". It was produced a good piece in Clockwork Message: Tonschmiede studio in Styria and mastered by the  mixer Roland Schützenhofer. The resulting final product shows the audience above all: Melodic Death Metal does not always act of doomsday and the like, and certainly not always sound the same.

Attuned is one of the four tracks strong EP of the song "Message of the Dead", which goes gently with an acoustic intro into the race. Soon, electric guitars and drums joined to the direction in which it will, however, go not reveal the first chords harder. Only the fast drums in combo with a catchy riff seem to whisper: Here Melodic Death Metal is produced. A similar versatility and genre-independence test the five guys in the last song, "The Longest Fall". This song begins unusually alert and bright and reminiscent almost of alternative rock or the like.

In both cases it is the growls of Martin Karner identifying finally the style of Croword clearly as melodic death metal. Until then, even clean vocals or Scream parts could easily join to the instrumental base and direct the music in a completely different direction. The growls are however getting used to and sometimes stand out strongly from the instrumental parts from. Only in the choruses of songs merge vocals and instruments into a single unit. The growls are again clearly, then mixed almost in the background and extremely quiet - a rough diamond who likes a bit of fine tuning would still tolerated.

Almost perfection the always typical in the foreground standing for style guitars. Those can definitely hear at Croword. The two guitarists Michael Karner and Florian Bogensberger offer only the best and present clean and accurate guitar solos. No song appears without the stringed instruments to get along, which makes the band's style more melodic and detailed.

Even if the last song "The Longest Fall" actually has something of a doomsday scenario and the eponymous case reproduces music, the contents of the songs are inspired by the themes of the literature. The lyrics of the first song sit for example in the parable "An Imperial Message" by Franz Kafka, while the third eponymous song "Manifesto of Mortal Sickness" on a scene in the "Neverending Story" alludes.

Their purest melodies easily knocked out combined with strong rythm, a sound of collateral damage and chants lyrical as vocal directly from the deepest vault!
