BIOGRAPHY
Plaguestorm is a very intense and powerful melodic one man band created by Sebastián Pastor. He is the songwriter and lyrics writer of all songs. Heo had a step Death metal band called Infirmor, which played bass.
These are the session musicians who participated in the recording of the EP "Everithing's Gone Wrong". It counts with the special participation in the voices of stid Bjorn (SOILWORK) on one of the themes and session musicians as Diego Martinez (guitar) and Ryan Strain (Voices).
In a one man band, I like noticing all the details, especially the production. One of the critical and where many artists tend to puncture points is when drawing up the pace battery with programmed drums, but Plaguestorm that rhythm is very solid. The production is excellent, the rhythm was recorded in the proper study of Sebastian Pastor in 2014.
The acoustic and electric guitars were recorded in the APM studios of Bahia Blanca between February and March 2014. Bjorn Strid and Rian Strain collaborated with their voices.
Everithing's Gone Wrong is a five very well constructed themes EP that show that there is much work behind. I like the start of Conspiracy, with those clean riffs as metalheads to Judas Priest, with much feeling and passion on guitar, to a boot with accelerated battery, which takes us to another dimension, the Swedish death metal of nineties. It has passion, it has claw and rhythm changes executed in the guitar parts are really good.
Plaguestorm gives us material and compositional excellent sound quality, very well blended that envisions an ambitious project with great potential. The only thing that does not convince me is the idea of "one-man project." There is a lot of this lately and I think that goes a little against the nature of music. Some of the music is born precisely from the interaction of the members of the band, jamming in the rehearsal room and create together. I'm not saying that these projects are bad, but I think if PLAGESTORM becomes a band, its potential to increase exponentially.
