BIOGRAPHY

Bruno Sutter is a singer, writer, scriptwriter, presenter, comedian, musician and record producer.

Detonator, is a character played by Bruno Sutter, former lead singer of Massacration and current lead singer and founder of Detonator e as Musas do Metal band.

Detonator is the young son of God Metal. He has all the techniques and wisdom in all styles related to any type of music. Nevertheless, it is dedicated to heavy metal and concentrates his powers in his powerful and unique voice. There is no singer, musician or political match for him.

During 1998, Bruno became singer barbecue, playing music ranging from Netinho and banda Beijo, Ace of Base, Elton John and É o Tchan. Although it has been successful as a comedian, music always remained part of his career. Parallel to the Hermes program and Renato and presentations  Massacration band, was also part of the band Death Tribute, where did the vocals and bass. The guitars of the band were led by Jonathan Becker and Dennis Decurion, and drums Fernando Lima. On 22 October 2004, they participated in the Bonded By Blood Festival in Led Slay in São Paulo, opening the show the band Exodus. In September 2011 comes as a vocalist in the band Rodrigo Rodrigues, The Soundtrackers.

In addition to acting as a vocalist, he is also known to play bass. He made several tributes to bands like Dream Theater, Death, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. 

In 2010, Sutter debut Rede Record as a member of Legendary program. The remaining group Hermes and Renato was renamed Banana mechanics. It was in the station until March 2012, returning to the MTV Brazil.

In the former MTV Brazil was one of Furo MTV  presenters in 2013 presented Rocka Rolla in 2012 and was part of the Hermes group and Renato 1999 until 2009. In 2013 along with other presenters of Furo MTV launches Amada Foca channel on YouTube. 

Currently the Son of Metal God follows accompanied by the band as Musas do Metal, formed by Isa Nielsen (guitar), Paulitchas Carregosa (guitar), Iza Molinari (bass) and Juliana Farias (drums).

On May 9, 2014, debuted at Kiss FM Sao Paulo a radio program "Bem Que Se Kiss", in which interviews with his characteristic good humor, rock admirers personalities.

These are the first Detonator launches this album "Folklore Metal", released in August 2014. The works are for sale on physical media through the web store official artist, and a book, The Bible of heavy metal.

In February 2015, he was elected by the portal Whiplash.net, by popular vote the best heavy metal singer 2014.

The musician from Metal Land, Detonator, former lead singer of Massacration two new albums entitled "DetonaThor" and "Live insana" at the same time in 2015, and the work already approached the Internet for listening The EP "DetonaThor" is a launch sponsored by Level Up Games, the company responsible for distributing the game Smite in Brazil, and that's where the title comes from work. DetonaThor is the name of one of the Nordic God Thor skins in the game, which features the voice acting of the singer.

The "Live insana" is a live recording, recorded during the presentation of the artist in Sana event in Fortaleza, Ceará, to 20,000 people. About the work, which will come out on DVD yet, on July 17, Bruno Sutter, comedian and musician behind the character, comments: " The sound was great! I made sure to follow everything closely, not wanting anything 'overdub'. The audio you will hear both the CD and the DVD is 100% real and organic. We managed to capture the energy of the live band on stage, and the incredible public participation. It was sensational! "

His first album without using the Detonator persona was released on December 10th, 2015 after a crowdfounding canpaign to release their first "Serious" album. The first single, "The Best Singer in the World", was released on his show on Kiss FM, on November 26, 2015.

Currently, Sutter has radio Kiss FM program "Bem Que Se Kiss". Initially broadcast every Friday from noon, the program has changed hours on October 22, 2015, going to be broadcast on Thursdays from 11:30 in the morning, now with 90 minutes long.

BIOGRAPHY

Dark Portrait" were formed in October of 2010. In May of 2012, for personal reasons, Simos left the band, leaving his place empty.. After a few months, from some really "haphazard" cicrumstances, his place was filled by a man with strong underpinnings in the Greek Underground Metal scene.

Filled with appetite for work and puzzled for this new member who came along with new ideas and energy, they start again from the very point they stopped!

Their first work in an EP  entitled "Fiend Incarnate" was released on November 3rd, 2012.

Their music is Majestc Black Metal with Gothic elements. In the Greek scene, even in the Underground sector, there are one too few bands of this genre and ideology. Dark Portrait are trying to remind the people that melody and magic can grant you a journey...

Currently in the early 2016 the band have finished to recording their first LP  named ''A Harrowing Atrocity'' to be released soon. On December 20th the band released the first single of the upcoming album called "Ode To Scorn" the album was recorded, mixed & mastered by Dion Christodoulatos at CFN Recordings Studio, cover by Remedy,  art design  by Giannhs Nakos, photoshooting by Christos Kalliris.

BIOGRAPHY

Native to the P.A.C.A region, Affliction GATE was created in spring 2006 by Herostratos (vocals), JP (drums) and Grief (guitar) with the intention to play a Death Metal in the purest tradition of the genre, as was practiced in the late 80's / early 90's, and paying tribute to the first groups of albums like UNLEASHED, GRAVE, MASSACRE, DEATH, ASPHYX, BOLT THROWER etc ...

Recorded in their rehearsal room during Summer 2008 with the help of session musicians, the first EP "severance (Dead to this world)" is first distributed in promo CDR format to circulate the name of Affliction GATE in the extreme metal scene. Returns went beyond the expectations of the group with very encouraging and positive ratings in France but also abroad. Some labels have even shown interest to make this EP and it finally officially FORGOTTEN WISDOM Prod (France), which will release the end of 2008.

A few months later, Affliction Gate signs contract with METAL INQUISITION Records (Germany) for his first album "Aeon of Nox (from darkness comes liberation)." Recordered in 2009 at the Studio AV / EVERTONE, the album was released in December 2009. Vincent Crowley, the singer of the American band Acheron, made a guest appearance on the title "after the red moon". Following the release of this album, chronicles are even more enthusiastic as well as the scene Underground Magazines like METALLIAN or TERRORIZER highlighting the progress of the group in the studio passage clearly helped to define and achieve most appropriate production, dynamic and powerful, without falling into modern sounds.

 Between 2010 and 2012, Affliction GATE gave several concerts across France but also in Spain dates in Germany (Festung Open Air), Belgium and Holland. Since October 2011, the group mainly shot with one of the oldest representatives of the hexagonal Death Metal scene recently reformed: MERCYLESS.

 The line up stabilized with the arrival of Bobby (guitar, Headfirst) and Wayne (ex- CATALEPSYA and ex-Headfirst ) who were members of session so far. September 2012 saw the release of the new material of the group, namely a Mini CD entitled "ante-mortem shattered illusions" always with METAL INQUISITION Records. Recorded during different sessions between 2011 and 2012, this time, there are collaborations with Eric Daniels (original guitarist ASPHYX, GRAND SUPREME BLOODCOURT) and Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, ex-EDGE OF SANITY). Version 10 "MLP released on the French label GOSPEL OF DEATH (division Necrocosm) in Summer 2014.

 Again, the many columns on the new MCD confirm the potential of the group that still crosses a landing and it will take with Affliction GATE to defend the old school Death Metal hexagonal.

 End of 2012, a change in line up took place with the arrival of Mr Laurent (MERCYLESS) on drums and Nico (ex-Letharsis) which becomes the new bassist.

 In Spring 2013, several other concerts also took place in France and a date in Germany and Belgium.

 Affliction GATE again finds the scene early 2014 with several concerts in France (whose Deathfest and One Night In Hell Fest) and 2 dates in Germany (including a PARTY SAN Warm Up).
 Meanwhile, the band  also worked on some new tracks for their next release "dying alone" recorded in 2014.

The masters of pain-evoking death metal are back with a new epic. This is the band's most evolved output by far, delving into deeply stirring, poignant leads, dark shades of melancholy, while remaining stoic and powerful, as one should, in their outer demeanor. The vocalist Herostratos narrates the truth of life with a bleeding voice, for all to hear and learn, as the music enacts its harsh dramatization. For ultimately, you are accountable for your own sins and you have to die yourself, alone, to enter either heaven or hell. 'Dying Alone' is an epoch in death metal circa 2016, one that witnesses a convergence of tangible, real life emotions, portraying once again and more elaborately, extreme music with pure anguish, struggle and bitter truth.

AFFLICTION GATE shared bills with bands like FUNERUS, PENTACLE, NECROWRETCH, MERCYLESS, SVART CROWN, LOUDBLAST, BENIGHTED, PROCLAMATION, BELENOS, WITHDRAWN, NECROBLOOD, KETZER, IMAGO MORTIS, UNAUSSPRECHLICHEN KULTEN, CADAVERIC FUMES, MALHKEBRE, GOSPEL OF THE HORNS etc...

Conceptually, AFFLICTION GATE deals with Darkness through its various shapes and manifestations. The one which can bring freedom, strength, wisdom... but also the one which can lead to downfall and chaos. Still for the better or for the worse. Lyrics are therefore the mirror of the negativity and the darkside that someone can behold or witness. Themes refer to death, despair, solitude, irreligion, war, destruction & self destruction...

It’s been over six years since the last Baphomet’s Blood full length, but one listen to their newest release ‘In Satan We Trust’ will make it clear that this Italian speed metal band has utilized the longer period between albums to put together some of their strongest material yet. While speed metal and traditional heavy metal have been on something of an upswing in recent years with a lot of younger bands joining the fray, Baphomet’s Blood has been around since 2003 but hasn’t gained quite as much notoriety as some of the others out there. That should hopefully change with ‘In Satan We Trust’, as not only are the riffs as razor sharp and catchy as ever but there’s now more of an emphasis on the lower end of the band’s sound which makes every instrument hit harder than ever before.

Iron Bonehead Productions sets January 25th, 2016 as the international release date for the vinyl version Baphomet’s Blood’s highly anticipated fourth album, In Satan We Trust. The Italian speed metallers’ first album in nearly seven years, In Satan We Trust shows that Baphomet’s Blood have not lost an ounce of power nor perversity in the interim. Forever hailing the ancient ways, the quartet offer obeisance to the unholy trinity of old Motorhead, Venom, and Bulldozer – with a touch of equally old Razor, Iron Angel, and Exciter on the side – and thunder forth with full-on scuzz and locomotive overdrive. It’s a hellish, headbanging good time, but it never loses sight of the original impetus behind true heavy metal: ever-eternal EVIL. And although ’80s-styled speed metal has been on the rise in recent years, Baphomet’s Blood have been fighting the good heavy metal fight for over a decade now, with members also serving in cult favorites Blasphemophagher, and they have the back catalog to prove it – and one overflowing with lust, filth, and sleaze. So if it’s a Satanic metal attack you need, then In Satan We Trust and drink deep Baphomet’s Blood!

Previous recordings have put the majority of the emphasis on the guitars and drums, giving the material a stripped down feel that felt appropriate for a band that was always merging the best elements of acts like Venom and Motörhead without mirroring one particular group too closely. This time around there’s a noticeable emphasis on the low end, with both the guitar and bass coming through much fuller than before. As a result there’s a lot more weight and power behind every note, and this works to Baphomet’s Blood advantage as it allows their abundance of killer leads and solos to leave a lasting impression on listeners. Though the formula behind most of these songs largely remains the same, there’s enough variation from one moment to the next to make each track distinguishable and keep you coming back for more. It’s forty minutes of speed, adrenaline, and metal supremacy and as is tradition for Baphomet’s Blood they end things with a cover track. Rather than going for a song from one of the better known thrash or speed metal acts, they’ve covered Eleg from Hungarian heavy metal band Fáraó, taking the original track and putting a little more heft behind it.

The group’s vocalist, who goes by Necrovomiterror, caught my attention years ago with his gruff delivery that sounded like a cross between Lemmy from Motörhead and some of the earlier thrash vocalists and this is once again the case on ‘In Satan We Trust’. With the tweaks to the way the album was recorded and produced, his vocals are even more dominant than before and there are plenty of moments where he absolutely towers over the already heavy hitting instrumental work. It’s the type of performance that’s constantly in your face and remains just as intense from the beginning of the album until its conclusion. Baphomet’s Blood has included quite a few samples throughout the album that tie into the Satanic lyrical content, and with the exception of the intro which is a bit too long they all fit quite well. In terms of both the lyrical themes and the power of the vocals on display, this is classic speed metal at its best.

Baphomet’s Blood has always had a knack for writing songs that kept the adrenaline going with killer leads and solos, but the differences in the way ‘In Satan We Trust’ was recorded puts this material on an entirely new level. The riffs are razor sharp and will make you want to headbang for the entire forty minute runtime, and there isn’t a single weak song out of the eight that the band has to offer. If you’re interested in anything speed or heavy metal related, Baphomet’s Blood latest is a mandatory purchase.

EMBEDDED from Osnabrück/Germany started as a straight-to-the-bone-old-school-Death-Metal three-piece in 1994 and released their first demo-tape “Angels of damnation” in 1996. But due to various private matters the band was put on hold in 1998.

After a two years break and some line-up changes, EMBEDDED came back to life with the release of the Demo-CD “Fragments of horror” at the very beginning of the new millennium. Followed by a Split-EP with Disastrous Murmur, some club shows all around Germany and an outstanding live performance at the "Fuck The Commerce IV"-Festival, EMBEDDED were able to strengthen their reputation as a passionate Death Metal outfit.

The release of their first full-length “Banished from the light” on Revenge Productions in 2001 pushed the band to a higher level. Highly acclaimed by the European press this album shows a more mature and brutal face of the band featuring ten outbursts of blasting Floridian-kinda Death Metal. The album sold very well and EMBEDDED played the "Obscene Extreme"-Festival, a couple of club shows and toured Finland as well.

But in late 2002 the band was again shattered by some massive line-up changes. After a short period of forced inactivity EMBEDDED returned in 2003. Stronger than ever, the band showcases their new found motivation in doing a professional video clip of the “Banished…”-Classic “Stench of burning flesh”, published via YouTube.

After a year of hard work EMBEDDED recorded their second album with Jörg Uken in his Soundlodge Studios in late 2004. “A severity divine” - released in May 2005 - was acclaimed by the European press as an "impressive and ultra-brutal mix of Malevolent Creation, Immolation and Slayer". The album got an overwhelming feedback and was able to consolidate EMBEDDED´s status as one of the best german Death Metal outfits around.

Another line-up change occured in 2006: Drummer Jörg Heemann left EMBEDDED to focus his creativity on Secrets Of The Moon. He was replaced by Markus Renzenbrink, a long-time friend of the band.

A couple of shows later on including a co-headlining performance at the "Fuck The Commerce IX"-Festival in 2006 and a successfull mini-tour in the Netherlands EMBEDDED entered the Soundlodge Studios again to record their third full-length album.

After all "Beyond the flesh" was finally released in May 2009 by german underground-label DB Agency and got a lot of good press: Rock Hard 8/10; Heavy Mag 9/12; Metal.de 8/10; Bloodchamber.de 8/10; Metalnews.de 5,5/7 !!!

But in the late summer of 2010 the last remaining founding member André Danowsky (guitar) left the band in friendship because of private matters. Despite that the remaining band members deicided to keep the flame alive.

On December 2nd they anounced a upcoming album release: ''At the time when the composition of the elderly of death metal which offered no longer becomes something special, it will be led to the exploration to create brutality and ruthlessness become conveniences, which also cause an enthusiastic in welcoming lots of nuances from their music.'' - Wrote the Band.

Embedded' tells that, the fourth full length album entitled ' Bludgeoning ' will be released by ' Apostacy Records' on January 29th,2016.  In the meantime, the album's artwork has designed by 'Vortex Arts '.

' Bludgeoning ' is Their first album in seven years (Beyond the Flesh was released in 2009). In addition, 'Bludgeoning' consists of eight tracks , which produced again by Jörg Uken (Despondency, Fearer, Obscenity, God Dethroned ....) at his studio 'Soundlodge'.

BIOGPRAPHY

Back in 2011, the five-piece Melodic Death Metal group Torchia was forged in Tampere, Finland. For locals in that area, the line-up is a familiar one, featuring the likes of Pirkka Birkstedt and vocalist Kvist, both of Killjoy Corporation fame, as well as drummer Joonas Juntunen from Krypton. After two years of writing and honing their style, the group ventured into the studio to record their first demo, oNe, which was made available in late 2013.

The five members each share a deep passion for music (writing, recording, and playing) and this zest is evident in the band's 2015 release, the 3-song EP Ending Beginning, which also serves as an introduction to the group's new vocalist Eetu Hentunen.

Ville "Phinx" Riitamaa (lead guitar, backing vox), Henri Heikkinen (guitar), Pirkka Birkstedt (bass), and Joonas Juntunen (drums) round out the rest of this group who, according to their bio, have a "musical style...influenced from traditional old-school agony to thrash and speed metal, mixing it with some newer and modern pain."

BIOGRAPHY

Zaria, driven by the desire to create original music, was founded in 2011. Inez, Nika, Miha, Jakob, Rok, and Gašper completed the final line-up in 2012. Although their initial musical style most closely resembled folk metal, they would eventually turn to other genres for inspiration as well.

The band’s earliest original songs emerged within the first year since its formation, and thus, armed with their own music, Zaria played its first concerts in 2012. By then, a fair amount of original material had been written, so a decision was made – in the summer of the same year, they would enter the studio to record their first EP. Produced by DYZ Sonic Temple Studio, it was released under the title of Sij obzorja (Glow of the Horizon) in March 2013. This year was marked by intensive songwriting as well as occasional concerts all over Slovenia, and culminated on New Year’s Eve with their on-stage appearance in the centre of Ljubljana.

2014 proved to be another busy year, for by then enough original music had been written to record their first full-length album. In late February, they entered Studio Rojas, where the next few months were spent recording and polishing the final product. In the summer, they appeared on the Second Stage of MetalDays 2014, where they were warmly received by a large audience. Their debut album, Po poti življenja (Upon the Trail of Life), was released in December.

In the future, they hope to make further on-stage appearances, and, eventually, return to the studio once more.

The project entitled Giant Gutter From Outer Space came to light by mid 2014 from the affinity of two independent musicians and long-standing friends driven to the execution of heavy, rough, experimental and, as far as possible, unrestrained music.

Bass player by talent, Hernan Borges de Oliveira has his projects, alongside the profession of accountant, pivoted on extreme music. Johnny R. Rosa, drummer, parallel to the métier of historian and to the particular attention given to avant-garde, free improvisational music, is also accomplice of projects that concern rough music.

The result of such eschatological partnership, inclined to avoid labels that stifle the creative output, has been put into action with the recently recorded EP entitled “Set Adrift”, which is compounded by 5 instrumental songs harshly executed as a duo (bass and drums). This record was independently released by the end of September 2015. Its artwork was designed by our mate photographer and designer Cesinha Marin, and it was released on released October 2, 2015 be unique, reduced to 300 hand-numbered copies.

BIOGRAPHY

Long time ago in a galaxy far far away...Fueled by beer the trash metal machinery from Rybnik called Soul Collector was brought into life in the year 2007. The group was created by Zbigniew Bizo, former bassist of Goddess of Sin. He invited to partnership his cousin Łukasza Bizonia, a former guitarist of mentioned group and two good friends from his neighborhood- brothers Halamoda.

Michał "Zmarły”  Halamoda becomes their second lead guitar and the older of two brothers Rafał "Don Vito”  Halamoda accidentally stands behind the microphone. The group was almost complete despite the fact they still lack drummer and as it came out later it was their course for the next few years. Though they were incomplete, young enthusiasts of heavy music and even heavier beverage decide to begin their first rehearsals with the drum machine.

The beginnings occur to be the mix of horror and tragicomedy and can be easily qualified as enormous noise coming out of trials to master the chaos, wherewith all members had one goal in their minds- to play thrash metal inspired by American school. What is more, although Zbigniew and ?ukasz had a quite big experience in playing music you can't really say that about two brothers Halamoda who tried to catch up with enthusiasm and the will to play. Unfortunately, after few months the conflict between two cousins Bizo? grows up larger and larger every day. Dissension and rehearsals with drum machine resulted in Zbigniew leaving. After that ?ukasz becomes the new leader.

After short search Mateusz "Yogi” Wajs becomes new bassist of Soul Collector- a 15 year old musician who plays only for few months but despite that fact he stays till present times.

The personal changes resulted in necessity to refresh first compositions created mainly by Micha and few covers- classics like Kat, Testament or Slayer. The band debut falls on May 2008 during the "wodzisławskiej Gitariadzie"  where despite defects like the lack of drummer the group scores the second place. Till today it was the only music preview in which Soul Collector ever took part and this can mean two things. The band really sucks ass or they simply don't give a fuck and all people who organize such redneck shows simply do not feel the true spirit of Rock & Roll (we believe in the second version).

With aforementioned squad Soul Collector records its first demo material (to be honest monster material) called Demo(N) and continues concerting. Meanwhile Lukasz  chooses completely different style of music and decides to kick himself out the band which makes other members very happy. Dawid Stafar Stafarczyk is the new replacement and becomes the second lead guitar, he stays in the band for the next few years giving shows in Poland and Czech Republic and takes part in recording second demo material called Soul Collector. Much about that period Soul Collector finds its first drummer- Krzysztof  Sacerdos Ster. Despite that, the bad luck is still upon the band and in December 2010 Dawid Stafar Stafarczyk decides to leave the group and devotes himself to his second band The Crossroads (currently he's a member of Tester Gier). Before his leaving he recorded yet the song "AND PAC" the compilation "Silesian Butchers II", created the initiative of a group of Snake Eyes.

After squad stabilization and bringing to perfection 11 tracks the band starts recording their debut album called Thrashmageddon. Person responsible for recording and production of the album is the original bassist and a former leader Zbigniew Bizo. The record takes place in the studio placed in the rehearsal room belonging to Orchestral Association KWK. The first recorded tracks are Pure Fucking Evil and I Saw which appear on the release Thrashing Damnation Thru Compilation. The release was published in the 2012 by Defense Records from Kracow and presents intersection of underground thrash metal scene. The idea was brought into life by Jan Mekong Sienkiewicz- Terrordome drummer. The release contains 22 tracks of 10 leading young trash metal bands chosen by the creator. Two tracks published by Soul Collector are greeted with warm welcome by critics as well audience. What is more, the idea is so well-caimed that one year later a second part comes out.

The year 2013 passes mainly on recording and perfecting recorded tracks and this lasts till the end of November. Soul Collector starts partnership with Jacek Kurnatowski, known from working with Alastor who is responsible for mastering the record. The band stays concert active playing with Mech, Horrorscope, Terrordome and Alastor among others. Meanwhile Pure Fucking Evil shows up on Sharks Attack, another compilation this time devoted to metal scene in Rybnik. The search to find the proper label lasts for 5 months and the new publisher is Defense Records, label responsible for releasing Trashing Damnation and partner of groups like Horrorscope and Terrordome. The album appears in May 2014 receiving good reviews and welcomed warmly by the fans.

Few months before the great release another personal changes take place. The band ends partnership with drummer Krzysztof Sacerdos Ster and engages Dawid "Dave" Kubnik- former drummer of The Crossroads. In this squad the band works till present times. In September 2014 Soul Collector starts working with music journalist Vlad Nowajczyk know from articles written for Polish edition of Hard Rocker. His responsibilities are PR and bands promotion in media and Internet. The group remains active, what will bring the future only time will show but as one of the reviewers noticed, despite so many personal changes during those 7 years the band still works what undoubtedly shows that two brothers Halamoda are really tough sons of bitches.

 Ends With A Bullet is a Swedish heavy metal band, created in April 2013 by musician and songwriter Liam Espinosa, in this group also Participates already known Swedish singer Jimmie Strimmel (ex-DEAD BY APRIL, Nightrage and DEATH DESTRUCTION). The band also appeared before this Nightrage and Dead by April-member Jimmie Strimell.

On 25 July 2013 the band released a debut EP with five songs on Spotify which received positive reviews. Musically practice the old band Jimmie Strimmel DEAD BY APRIL near remove style (which was Expelled before Unite with "EWAB"). That is a kind of metalcore the modern metal alternative rock influences with the euro-trance and modern pop.

 Their release gig took place on July 27th in Stromstad at Restaurant Skagerrak together with rock band Aggressive Chill. In 2014 "EWAB" releases  their first LP "Twenty Seven". After drummer Marcus Rosell dropped out and started playing for Dead By April stood band without a drummer until the 9th of May when the Nida Rich Mount was officially enlisted in the constellation.

Drearyym - (2014 - 2015) [ Full Discography] - Soundcloud Stream

Drearyym was formed in January, 2014 by two Lempäälä-inhabitants, Leevi Kuunila and Jarno Kaasalainen. With Leevi playing guitar alongside his vocalist's duties and Jarno playing drums, they began pursuing a vision of creating melodic death metal with folk influences. Black metal also mixed into the stew as time went by, and even thrashy and doomy vibes would be heard.

After playing together for a while, the guys had three songs ready to be recorded. As they searched for a quick, low-budget way to get things done, they also realized that they required some keyboards on the songs. They then contacted Leevi's old bandmate, fellow Lempäälä-inhabitant and beginner keyboardist Eero Ahonen. With only less than a month to go before the recordings would take place, Eero agreed to play the keyboards and a guest guitar solo on the soon-to-be first demo of the band, which had also recently gotten a name. The name needed to reflect the music somehow, and the word best describing the music was "dreary", as the songs, though still very unpolished, were ominous and dark. Drearyym was born.

The recording session took place within the confines of the rehearsal room built inside Eero's house, which the band still uses today. Lasting only a day, the first ever recording session of Drearyym was excecuted by the three amigos with the help of beginner mix/master man Aapo Lankinen. Thus, the demo "Old Barn" was ready to be heard.

During the summer of 2014, Eero joined the band as a permanent member, and soon the band found it's second guitarist, also an old bandmate of Leevi and Eero's, Kimmo Kylä-Laaso. Shortly after Kimmo joined, the new single "Blòt" was ready to be recorded. This time the band hired local music multitalent Matti Auerkallio to record, mix and master the new song. As the band still didn't have a bass player, Kimmo played bass on the track, while Matti played a guest guitar solo. After the release of "Blòt", anyhow, the band found it's bassist as yet another old bandmate joined in: Arttu Helenius was the man handling the low ends, and so the band was ready to start rehearsing for live gigs.

The first gig was played in Tampere on the 13th of December, 2014. The group has continued doing gigs ever since, quickly making a name for themselves.

Not long after the first few concerts, it was time to hit the studio again; this time to make the band's first EP and physical release. With five new tracks and a collective head full of ideas, the band yet again contacted Matti Auerkallio and headed to his familiar home studio to give birth to what would become "Myths of the White North". The release laid the foundations for Drearyym's aknowledgement in the public eye, having been spread through the internet into reviews and other public feedback around the world, for example.

In May 2015, Drearyym had the honor of being chosen to be one of the bands competing in the Wacken Metal Battle. The competition brought yet again more attention to the band, among many things like co-operation offers and a Spotify account, even though the group only progressed to the try-outs.

The rest of 2015 was quite much circling around concerts and composing. The summer was a bit quieter, though a few gigs were played then too. In fall, bassist Arttu Helenius decided to part ways with the band to pursue other life goals. A new bassist was found quickly, as an old friend and the original second guitarist of Drearyym, Aleksi Tossavainen, hopped in to fill Arttu's shoes. Around the same time, the studio was calling again. This time, it would be something on the next level.

So, December 4th, 5th, and 6th were busy days as Drearyym prepared their most ambitious release at the time, while all of Finland was enjoying Independence day festivities. Working once again with Matti Auerkallio, the band had guests come in and sing on the newest track, the 12-minute epic "Hunter's Tale". Sara Strömmer came to sing the female parts on the song, and a group of friends (including members of the band Scaredom, with whom Drearyym had done shows etc.) was chosen to come and sing the choir parts on the song. The concept came together amazingly well, though the final version of the track would still be a long time without release.

Shortly after the studio sessions, the band took part in another battle of bands; Kukkona Tunkiolla. The first try-outs turned out to be victorious for Drearyym. However, the year was about to end and so was one era in Drearyym's story. About a month before the semifinals, the band replaced long-time drummer Jarno with Scaredom's Waltteri Grek. Having only three weeks to rehearse together before Waltteri's first show with Drearyym, the period of time was very hectic. However, the gig at O'Hara's, Tampere, was successful, and the band was ready for the semifinals.

The semifinals, taking place in Jack The Rooster in Tampere, where the Wacken competition had taken place only about a year earlier, brought all new drive to both the band and the crowd. With Aleksi also having taken his place in the band as a permanent member, the change of line-up had breathed new life to the group, and it showed. In the semifinals, the reception and feedback was overwhelmingly great, and the band progressed straight into the finals.

The finals were two weeks away, and the band was ready to give it all they got, also planning stage outfits and an even more striking show. In the finals, Drearyym received an even better reception, and the judges were very impressed. The band was now a full package, able of delivering a show and interacting with the crowd from start to finish. Still, the band did not ultimately win the competition, but the progress as a group was more than a vital part of the whole future of the band.

Approximately a month after the band competition, Waltteri decided to step down from Drearyym to concentrate on Scaredom and other aspects of his personal life. His successor was found in a friend and fellow drummer in the band competition; External's Julius Lehtonen would now be the heir to the throne.
