Buried Realm - The Ichor Carcinoma (Full-Length Album - 2017) - Bandcamp Stream

Buried Realm is the solo project of Josh Dummer, but on debut release The Ichor Carcinoma, he’s calling in the big guns to help him out. Featuring an exhaustive list of prominent metal musicians including current and former members of Arch Enemy, Cannabis Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Wintersun, Firewind, Septicflesh and more.

Given that The Ichor Carcinoma has so many guests, it stands to reason that it has a diverse sound, ranging from hyper-speed solos, breakdowns, a mixture of screams and clean singing and more, but at the end of the day, it can be classified as an impressive melodic death metal debut.

“The Ichor Carcinoma is a technical and melodic death metal record featuring several household names among the metal community,” Dummer says. “After years of hard work, diligence and patience, I am absolutely proud to release this album and excited for everyone to listen. A big thank you to the people who support Buried Realm.”

The album featured several special guests like Christopher Amott, Bob Katsionis (Firewind/ ex-Septicflesh), Peter Wichers (ex-Soilwork) and more to be announced and was mastered by Dan Swanö.

From The Hellmouth | Mutilatred (Split EP - 2017) - Bandcamp Stream

A marriage of brutality and precision annihilation, MUTILATRED and FROM THE HELLMOUTH's individual killing sprees collide on a monumental collaboration of malevolence. MUTILATRED's uncompromisingly heavy slam soaked brutality and FROM THE HELLMOUTH's whirlwind death metal battery will leave your carcass drenched in wretched carnage and your mind rendered to dust. Two of modern death metal's up-and-comers aim to bring extremity and brutality back to the genre and drain the sea of retro poserdom. Consider yourselves warned AND victims. 

Two death metal machines hailing from Cleveland and Toledo respectively, the eight songs on the split are straightforward death metal. No frills about it.

The collaboration seems to be a natural one formed from mutual connections and playing live together.

“When Thomas [owner of Redefining Darkness Records | Seeing Red Records] approached us about doing a split with Mutilatred, we jumped on it,” says From the Hellmouth bandleader Noah Buchanan. “We’ve played a few shows together between our two cities, and we really dig their style! This was also the first opportunity to feature the new lineup on a recording. When I did the first EP, I played all the guitar, and Alan Cassidy (The Black Dahlia Murder) handled the drum duties. Now with this new split EP release under our belts, the lineup is solid – We all have something to be proud of.”

“We played with From the Hellmouth a few times and love seeing them live,” Mutilatred drummer Clay Lowe adds. “Plus we are essentially label mates with Seeing Red Records being a subsidary of Redefining Darkness Records. When presented the chance to make a split with them, we were all about it! Our styles of death metal mesh well together, and that is somewhat difficult to find in our region. We recorded our portion of the EP at Lake Bottom Studios in Toledo with the approach of making the album sound raw and as true to our live sound as possible. Hope everyone digs it!”

DevilSpeak - Unearth Hell (Single - 2017) - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY

DevilSpeak is a 5 piece Death/Thrash Metal band based in Cape Town, South Africa. DevilSpeak members are Azaliyah Bester on Ryhthm Guitar, De Wet Loots on Lead Guitar, Jarred Williams on Vocals, Francois Meyer on Drums and Derrick Leppan on Bass Guitar.

DevilSpeak was formed in August 2014 when Francois auditioned on drums at a practice session with the other four members and everyone immediately recognised that the musical chemistry between everyone was very real and special. The next day the name of DevilSpeak was chosen and so the band began.

The name DevilSpeak is a play on words of the Devil's Peak mountain in Cape Town. It's a way to say that they are from Cape Town and they are a metal band.

DevilSpeak had their live debut on 20 Mar 2015, having spent 7 months honing the 6 song set into a formidable shape with the aim of blasting onto the scene with a musical presence that could not be denied by those watching their live show. This aim was realised and very quickly the band was playing some good shows on the Cape Town scene.

DevilSpeak recorded their debut single, Violently Leading The Blind, on 18 and 19 April 2015 at Milestone Studios with Jethro Harris engineering. All instruments were miced up for the recording as the aim here was to capture the live feeling of the band, as well as their actual sound, and this aim was very much realised. Everyone involved in the recording of the single is very proud of how the end result sounds having achieved what they set out to achieve in their respective goals.

Violently Leading The Blind was released on 1 September 2015 and very soon started getting radio play worldwide, initially in the UK and soon spreading to the USA, Panama, France, and other parts of the world.

Notable shows that DevilSpeak have played include being invited to play at Metal4Africa's Winterfest'15 in August 2015, opening for NervoChaos from Brazil on their South African tour they did with Boargazm in February 2016, and supporting Vulvodynia on their tour of Cape Town in April 2016.

DevilSpeak is now recording a 3 track EP in 2016, preproduction has commenced on this in March 2016. The EP will again be recorded at Milestone Studios with Jethro Harris engineering.

Notable shows coming up for 2016 include taking part in the South African Battle for Wacken in April 2016, where the winning band will get to go play at Wacken Open Air in Germany in August 2016, and supporting Sacrifist from JHB on their Cape Town tour in May 2016.

On August 7, 2016 the band released the video "Beyond The See" that was was the 4th song in the set from a live performance recordered at M4A Winterfest'15 at 6pm sharp on Sat 8 Aug 2015 at The Assembly in Cape Town and had an exhilarating experience.

On  12 September 2017 the band released "Unearth Hell", the single off their forthcoming EP "See Evil Hear Evil Speak Evil".

After the sucessful release of their debut full-length album, the French Melodic Death metallers AEPHANEMER have decided to re-release their debut EP with vocals included, their new single, ‘Path of the Wolf’, is available for streaming. Path of the Wolf was mixed by Dan Swanö at Unisound AB and mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios.

"Many among you asked us to release our songs from Know Thyself with vocals, and we wanted to try new production processes to prepare our next album. We decided to record "Path of the Wolf" completely once again - with vocals - and asked the best audio engineers we know to handle the production. Recode The Subliminal - Unnatural Selection (Single - 2017) - Bandcamp Stream

Recode The Subliminal was formed in 2013 after the disbandment of their former group, xXXx, which still consisted of Jaro, Devel, Eduard, and Yen. After the transformation to Recode, they began searching for a new vocalist to complete the lineup, while also writing songs and preparing their debut album. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts, they finally found a new singer; Ryan Strain, from the United States. From there, Recode transformed again into more of an online band, focused on creating music, rather than playing live shows. The band quickly took on new life and found a new energy. On March 30th of 2016, after over 2 years of hard work, and 1 year of working with Ryan, Recode The Subliminal released their debut metal album "The Cost of Every Man". 

The debut album by Central European band Recode The Subliminal, "The Cost of Every Man", details various events, social issues, and disasters leading to the end of civilization, and ultimately, the end of the world. From the start, you'll be bombarded by heavy sounds and dark melodies, only to be swept away by some lighter, more hopeful tunes. As you near the end, the sound shifts to something more grand and orchestral as we slowly come to the realization that all may truly be lost. With lead guitars and ripping solos provided by our producer, Jaroslav Lukáč, rhythm guitars and orchestration composed by Devel Sullivan, huge drum sounds made possible by Eduard Štěpánek, crushing bass contributed by Yen Štěpánek, and the massive, dynamic vocals and lyrics of Ryan Strain.

The album musically, it’s solid. However, it may be the concept that really drives this one home. It’s a record surrounding current events – for better or worse. Usually the later. It chronicles the modern decline of modern mankind through 12 solid tracks spanning nearly an hour long listening experience. Recode The Subliminal's "The Cost of Every Man" is truly a must-listen for all extreme music lovers.

Riding the tails of the success of their debut album, the band is now prepared to release their next project. "Unnatural Selection" is the first single released from their upcoming album "Disconnected".
