Biography
Since from the childhood each other known Mikael Weckström and Juho Raita were interested about metal music and started band activities in 2009. At the start Juho was playing drums and Mikael guitar. After many different kind of line ups Juho decided to change to guitar from the drums, and in December 2012 Exthenia got formed by Mikael and Juho.In January 2013 first demo's, Endless Path's, recordings started whose music had been composed little before band got formed. Band didn't have drummer or singer, so band decided to use drum machine. Juho decided to take singer's slot and started to train in short period before recordings.
Exthenia attended to Nummirock's band competition in February and reached some popularity and fan base begin to accumulate. At the same time Mikael spent a lot of his time composing new songs. The band got to their first gig and won the prize of a weekend studio time.
The next recording's, Dominate The Wind EP's songs were ready and Ville Lähteenmäki joined the band to play drums. After the studio weekend prize, band wasn't satisfied to the recordings and decided to record everything again. EP was released in summer 2013 and was printed in limited number. This was well received in Finland and abroad. At the end of the year Jere Blom joined the band to play keyboards.
In December 2013 band announced to go to Ansa Studio to record single in January. Single was released in February.
