BIOGRAPHY
DIMICANDUM is a unique phenomenon on the conceptual Ukrainian Metal-scene, formed in 2009 in Kyiv. Due to the active and successful concert of the group (up to 3 years was more than 40 performances), as well as the promotion of quality in the Internet group actively listen in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Poland and Moldova. The band usually performs in the best concert clubs in Ukraine, where on the right you can evaluate the quality of the music and professional musicians.
First they released a debut Promo 4-track mini album on September 2009. On 10.10.2010 The band posted on the network's their EP "Sumerian's Warning", which took place on the famous recording studio in Kiev "Max Morton's Amazing Music Workshop". The release bring different quality of sound, the original theme songs and unique atmosphere inherent «DIMICANDUM». The EP was downloaded and listened to more than five thousand people and has collected a lot of positive reviews. At the same time the group has launched the official website http://www.dimicandum.com.ua/, where you can listen and download the EP.
March 24, 2012 DIMICANDUM started to record full-length album "The Legacy of Gaia». Recording takes place on one of the best studio in Kiev, sharpened by Metal direction - BlackLight Recording Studio. album sound producer was Alex Romanchenko previously worked with such bands as: Balfor, Delia, Fragile Art, Jim Jams, Joncofy, Khors, Natural Spirit, Provocateur, Plastic Fantastic, TOL, TAP, RADA, Semargl , Sunrise, Sean Carr (DVS). Art-design of 12-pages booklet made by Russian studio “Project Mayhem”, known to a wider audience with the works for: Amatory, Arcana Imperia, Change Of Loyalty, Illidiance, StalWart, Icon In Me. The album was officialy released on October 3rd, 2012.
"This album is the fruit of several years of work of our musicians, he will sum up a certain stage in the development of the group and at the same time will be a new step for us and for such areas as the atmospheric metal in Ukraine," - commented the band.
Melodic and growling of Melodic Death Metal, slowness and atmosphere of Doom & Gothic Metal, Thrash & Heavy drive and modernity of Nu-Metal - DIMICANDUM skillfully combined all in their music. The lyrics based on ancient myths and philosophies and the latest scientific discoveries. What will be the legacy of humanity of the 21st century? Who are they Indigo Children? And what secret kept the ancient Sumerians? Ukrainian metallers will make you think about the meaning of life and experience the atmosphere of music and intellectual drive.
Their music is Atmospheric Metal in the direction of heavy combineed elements of different currents metal genres such as: melodic growl and Melodic Death Metal, slowness and atmosphere Doom & Gothic Metal, Thrash & Heavy drive and bit of Nu Metal.
Currently in 2016 the band's line up suffer some changes and they're working on a new material to be announced soon.
