Foredoomed - Chaos and Beauty (Full-Length Album - 2019) - Bandcamp Stream

The first incarnation of Foredoomed was formed in 2009 by singer-guitarist Atte Kymäläinen. Original line up consisted of couple of Atte’s childhood friends as well as current guitarist Asmo Jurvanen who was at the time playing bass. Band recorded their first demo Karelian Elegy in 2010 before breaking up later that year.

In 2013, Atte and Asmo reformed Foredoomed. They recorded a new demo Dreamtime Story later that year to search for more band members. In 2015 the band recorded their third demo Search for Tomorrow. Foredoomed played their first concerts in Joensuu during that time. There were various lineups in the band with Atte and Asmo being the consistent forces throughout the years.

At the end of 2015 the band started working on their first full-length album. After a lot of composing and pre-production, recording started in early 2017. During the album production, Eetu Kovapohja and Joel Henrik Kaplas joined in the band. On August 18, 2017 debut full-length album Ordeal was released. In 2018 Joel left the band, and he was replaced by band’s long-time friend Jere Jolkkonen.

Foredoomed’s second album ‘Chaos and Beauty’ was released 30th of August. Album’s theme focuses on the heavy and the sensitive aspects of band’s renowned melodic death metal style.

Compared to the band’s previous record ‘Ordeal’, ‘Chaos and Beauty’ is more straightforward to get into. Simpler songs like ‘Blood Red Sun’ and ‘Dead Candles’ bring contrast to the more progressive and harder-to-grasp songs like ‘Derelict Hours’ and ‘Heart-Searching’.

‘Chaos and Beauty’ contains nine songs that focus around the album’s poetic theme. Foredoomed released a single Worldfire in March 2019. During the recording of the album, Jere decided to step down from the band because of his school and other projects, but continues to play live with the band.

Plaguestorm - Lost in Oblivion [Ft. Mikael Sehlin] (Single - 2019) - Bandcamp Stream

Plaguestorm is a Studio project formed by Sebastián Pastor (Lyrics/Guitars/Bass/Drum Programing) since 2014.

"Everything's Gone Wrong" is the name of the first EP, released independently (01 Oct 2015). This album was devised and created by Sebastián Pastor and has the participation of Björn Strid (Soilwork) and Ryan Strain (Recode the Subliminal) on vocals and Diego Martinez (Nacer Muerto) on electric guitars.

On November 30 (2017) Plaguestorm released a single called "Fire Within" also featuring the voices of Björn Strid, the guitar solo was in charge of Pablo Roman (Sobre Tus Cenizas) and the orchestrations and piano by Sebastián Nuñez Szymanski (Eroica).

On September 6th the band announced the release of their debut album called MOTHER OF PLAGUES (2019). The release date will be announced soon. This is the track list and the guests in each song.

Eternal Storm - Come The Tide (Full-Length Album - 2019) - Bandcamp Stream

ETERNAL STORM is a Melodic Extreme Metal band that was created in Madrid in 2009, by Kheryon (bass & vocals) and guitarists Jaime Torres and Daniel Maganto. The band spent some time working with different drummers until Luis "Lucho" Rodríguez joined the band in 2011 and some months later recorded what would become their debut EP 'FROM THE ASHES', which was released in Spring 2013 and was critically acclaimed internationally, even being chosen as "MOST PROMISING NEW ACT OF 2013" by the respected webzine TheDrinkTim.

In the following months ETERNAL STORM supported well-known bands like THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, LEPROUS, LOCK UP, BLINDEAD or NAMI, as well as performed at SWR Barroselas Metalfest (one of the most important extreme metal festivals in the south of Europe) together with GORGUTS, MISERY INDEX and NEGURA BUNGET.

The band recorded one track ('THE GREAT WINGS OF SILENCE') for for the 5th installment of a very special project called ‘ELEMENTAL NIGHTMARES’: a series of seven 4-way splits released on 10” vinyls in which they appeared with the bands KAOS VORTEX (Germany), WILL OF THE ANCIENTS (Canada) and STORTREGN (Switzerland) which would see the light of day in November 2014. The track was mixed and mastered by the acclaimed Finnish engineer SAMU OITTINEN (INSOMNIUM, KORPIKLAANI, ROTTEN SOUND, ORANSSI PAZUZU) and showed an improved production and more mature sound, slightly shifting away from the Gothenburg scene towards a more atmospheric and epic approach.

In support of this new release, ETERNAL STORM continued to increase their live activity, playing all over the Peninsula and sharing the stage with respected bands like MOONSPELL and SEPTICFLESH (on a sold out gig in their home city), DE PROFUNDIS, STORMLORD or NIGHTRAGE across some of the finest venues of their city.

In late 2015 MATEO NOVATI became the band’s new drummer and the quartet finished the last details of their upcoming debut full-length, which would be recorded and mixed at SADMAN STUDIO by CARLOS SANTOS (WORMED, TOUNDRA, ADRIFT, JARDÍN DE LA CROIX) and mastered in Örebro, Sweden by TONY LINDGREN at FASCINATION STREET STUDIOS (ENSLAVED, LEPROUS, KREATOR) in early 2017.

A few months later, right before the mixing process started, the band was invited to join Finnish Winter metal warriors WOLFHEART (Spinefarm Records) on a successful minitour across Spain and Portugal, and immediately after, the band shared the stage with the legendary US Atmospheric black metal collective ASH BORER and the Norwegian death metal juggernauts BLOOD RED THRONE.

The band releases their debut album on August 23, 2019. Eternal Storm have created a mesmerizing album full of elegant riffs and soul-piercing melodies. After releasing a very well received EP and a split release, they've come up with their debut full length which sets new standards for bands playing in this style. Everything is immaculately executed, right from the artwork to the production, ensuring that their much awaited release doesn't leave anything to be desired. The music is breathtaking and takes influences from several styles to create a sound that is at once emotive and striking. Most bands lean excessively towards either side but ETERNAL STORM exemplify the perfect balance of melody and heaviness in death metal music. Nothing on the album is forced but flows naturally, almost intuitively, and transports you to a tumultuous place where you take in the beauty as well as the wrath - a place akin to the one featured on the album cover.

Astronoid - Astronoid (Full-Length Album - 2019) - Bandcamp Stream

Creation should feel like a moment of self-actualization. Full potential and promise become fulfilled, and the next step can be taken. Astronoid reach such a moment on their self-titled second album. The Boston quartet—Brett Boland [vocals, guitar], Daniel Schwartz [bass], Casey Aylward [guitar], and Matt St. Jean [drums]—actualize the scope of their dynamic and dreamy deluge of thrashing guitars, soaring shoegaze, progressive pummeling, and ethereal vocal emissions. The music reflects the ebb-and-flow of two years marked by intense life changes.

“The main themes of the record are overcoming self-doubt and creating art in general,” explains Boland. “We were away from home for so long that we’d be lying if we said the road had nothing to do with the material. A lot happened. Dan got married. I got engaged. There were ups and downs. Our lives are ultimately reflected in the music.”

After making their introduction with the 2012 EP November and 2013 EP Stargazer, Astronoid arrived as an enthralling, engaging, and entrancing voice for heavy music on 2016’s full-length debut, Air. It graced year-end lists by Consequence of Sound, Stereogum, LA Weekly, Invisible Oranges, Loudwire, No Clean Singing, and more. In addition to acclaim from Noisey, MetalSucks proclaimed it “an instant classic.” In the aftermath of its release, the band toured alongside Tesseract, Periphery, Animals As Leaders, Zeal & Ardor, Ghost, and many more. Meanwhile, the music cumulatively tallied over 3 million-plus Spotify streams and counting. Along the way, they started kicking around ideas for what would become Astronoid as early as summer 2017.

However, the process presented a new set of challenges for the musicians.

“At the beginning, we were trying to outdo Air,” admits Boland. “It took us about six months to get into the groove. We realized we didn’t have anything to prove, and we got back to writing for the personal fulfillment of it. There’s a lot of pressure on a second release, so many of the lyrics are about overcoming self-doubt and the perceived opinions of others. We decided it should be self-titled, because this is us in our purest form. We ended up taking more chances. We were able to be Astronoid.”

Recording drums at Futura Productions in Roslindale, MA and tracking everything else at a home studio in one month, the music captures a palpable and powerful sense of urgency as evidenced by the first single 'I Dream In Lines.' Distorted guitars curl around swells of feedback as the vocals echo with emotion during a hypnotic hook.

“It’s about seeing through the eyes of a painter,” explains the frontman. “My fiancée loves to draw and paint. It’s an artform I highly respect, but it’s not something I can do. I tried to assume that view though. It’s another instance where you’re overcoming doubt and creating.”

Then, there’s 'Breathe.' It hinges on tight fretwork as a rush of melody takes hold on the mantra, “Breathe in, breathe out.”

“I started doing meditations before we play, and that’s what ‘Breathe’ is,” he goes on. “The lyrics are almost like a guided meditation of something really light and floaty, but it’s Astronoid.”

The album also represents a pronounced evolution as the likes of 'Water' and six-minute 'Lost' dramatically dip between musical peaks and valleys. This unpredictability illuminates a 360-degree scope.

In the end, Astronoid embrace a newfound confidence and bring listeners closer than ever.

“There’s a lot more of us in this record,” he leaves off. “It’s super personal. It gave me the affirmation I needed that I can still write music and that it’s not about besting what you’ve done in the past, but rather being who you are. That’s what it gave me. I hope it aligns with something a listener may need.”
