BIOGRAPHY
In September 2009, with the creative desire to fuse Melodic Death Metal with ‘melancholic’ vibes; Leon formed NonserviaM as a studio-project, initially assuming the guitar, bass, and vocal duties. Valent and Payden were then enlisted to take on the drumming and keyboard / synth positions respectively. In the beginning of 2010, Evan and Gary joined the band, taking on the lead and rhythm guitar positions and recorded 3 demo tracks which were unreleased.
(2011)
- First live appearance at “The Friday Bang” (11.02.2011) showcase, alongside Grave Dancers (Indonesia), Circuits (Australia), Daighila (Malaysia), and a series of local acts.
- PAYDEN parted ways with the band due to professional reasons.
- Music Video for the demo-track ‘Fragments’ were produced (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btLdyaj1EZ4)
- Second live appearance at the “Scum Fuct Labour” festival (01.05.2012), alongside Weot Skam, Grey Zone, Deng Deng, and Angkara.
- Commencement of the recording for the “Ordinance Of Reason” EP.
- Appearance at Strait Quay’s “Penang Performing Arts Centre” (30.11.2011), alongside Coma, Gand, Uglymen, and Ocean Of Fire.
(2012)
- Live appearance at Ipoh, Perak’s “Silverian Kvlt” Metal festival (28.01.2012), alongside Vociferation Eternity, Nekrad, Goatlusting Chaos, Bilharzia, Sammael Abraham, and a series of local Metal acts.
With the more potent line-up, the band proceeded on recording a 4-tracks “Ordinance Of Reason” EP. Evan left the band in the beginning of 2012 due to musical differences, and the band was subsequently joint by bassist Zeon, and lead guitarist Vinoth.
- PAYDEN returns to the band to resume the keyboard / synth position.
- Live appearance at “Converse – Act Of Disruption Tour” (12.05.2012), alongside Coma, and Akta Angkasa.
Because of the released EP, the band played strings of important Metal shows and festivals across the region and S.E Asia; some being Vietnam's formidable "Hanoi Death Fest 2013", and Singapore's "Vent Box Underground Music Festival: Age Of Evolution 2015".
Their debut album "A Spectral Ascension" was released in April 2014, and the band has been undergoing a series of major line-up changes ever since. With the new line-up, they went on to record their second EP entitled "Archetype Obscure", and will be released soon.
The Music - A churn of various extreme Metal values amalgamated into a single Melodic Death Metal entity. Think At The Gates, Dark Tranquility, (old) In Flames & Soilwork, crossing fire with Thrash, Black, Doom & Progressive Metal elements. The Lyrics - Inspired by the insightful journals of ‘Charles Darwin’, ‘Friedrich Nietzsche’, ‘Epicurus’, and the late George Carlin’s seminal social-commentaries.
